INFORMATION

With the ÇAK (Farmer Advantage Card) project, special check-up packages and discounts for female farmers and women in the farmers’ family have been created with the support of contracted hospitals located in the provinces of İzmir, Denizli, Manisa, Samsun and Batman. Our aim is to ensure that women have access to quality health services; to ensure that their possible diseases are diagnosed in early stage and that preventive actions are taken against diseases.

AWARENESS TRAININGS AND CHECK-UP PACKAGES

October is known worldwide as “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. Breast cancer which has high rate of death, has risen to the top of the list, with 11.7% of all cancers. When the disease is diagnosed early, survival rates can be achieved 90% or higher, making breast cancer treatment very effective.

Since 2023, awareness trainings regarding breast cancer and general health have begun to be provided to female famers and tobacco workers by professional medic personnel of contracted hospitals within the ÇAK (Farmer Advantage Card). For 2024, It was decided to continue the organization of basic health and awareness trainings for women, that started with 47 female farmers and workers attendance in Kale in 2023. In 2024, 60 saplings were distributed in the breast cancer awareness and general health and safety training in Manisa-Halıtlı, where 30 people participated.

Starting in 2023, breast cancer awareness trainings for female farmers, female family members of farmers, and female workers have been initiated under the ÇAK (Farmer Advantage Card) project and delivered by professional medic personnel of contracted hospitals.
