Green Tobacco Sickness
There was no scientific study conducted on Oriental tobacco (Small-Leaf Nicotine Rate Average: around 1%) until 2023.
For the first time, a scientific study has been initiated by the industry in cooperation to shed light on this issue, and during this project, an average of 8 samples were collected from 330 producers during the cropping period by the independent project partner Euroline and taken to the ARGEFAR Laboratory, another independent partner institution, and preserved under appropriate conditions, and cotinine and creatinine analyses were started. At the end of the analysis process, the results obtained by the project manager ARGEFAR will be evaluated and the scientific report will be shared with the tobacco sector.
