Disposal/Recycling of Empty Agricultural Pesticide Packaging Waste

  • One quarter of finished agricultural pesticide packages should be filled with water.
  • Pesticide packages filled with water should be shaken for at least 30 seconds.
  • The residual water formed after the shaking process should be drained into the pesticide
    chamber.
  • This process should be repeated 3 times.
  • The bottom of the packages should be pierced 3 times to prevent reuse.
  • Empty pesticide packages should be crushed to prevent reuse after the piercing process.
  • Triple-washed, punctured and crushed packages should be placed in leak-proof bags with their lids closed.
  • Empty pesticide packaging waste should be placed in tie-top bags and stored in a safe place out of reach of children in cases where the collection point is far or the waste cannot be disposed of immediately and should be disposed of at the Agricultural Pesticide Packaging Waste Collection Area as soon as possible.
  • Only Empty Agricultural Pesticide Packages should be thrown into the waste bin.
